Women's Club at Honey Grove

Last night the women of Honey Grove organized a club to go actively into the work of arousing interest among the woman in order to get a full registration.

Mrs. M. E. Daniels was elected president and Mrs. Gus McCleary, secretary.  Committees were appointed to take charge of various phases of the work, and active campaign will be waged.

Judge Renner Leslie, on invitation, went there and addressed them on matters connected with the election and the matter of voting, etc.

Women Are Registering.

Wednesday afternoon about fifty cars loaded with women came in from Honey Grove to register with Collector McKee, and he and Deputy Finley and several ladies from the Red Cross had all they could do to wait on them.  There were more than a hundred of them registered.  They said they intended to invite the candidates to come and address the women at Honey Grove, so that they could have a better idea of what they stood for and what might be expected of them if they were elected.

Thursday Collector McKee kept open his office in order to accommodate those who wanted to register, and he and his helpers were so busy all day that they scarcely had time to eat.  They worked hard until late the afternoon.  During the day 429 women registered and probably there were others who would have done so had the crowd not been so great.
